Look now and take note; search her squares. Strip off her branches, for they do not belong to the LORD.Jeremiah 5:11For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have been utterly unfaithful to Me,” declares the LORD.Jeremiah 5:12They have lied about the LORD and said: “He will not do anything; harm will not come to us; we will not see sword or famine.Jeremiah 5:13The prophets are but wind, for the word is not in them. The turtledove, the swift, and the thrush keep their time of migration, but My people do not know the requirements of the LORD.Jeremiah 8:8How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the Law of the LORD is with us,’ when in fact the lying pen of the scribes has produced a deception?Jeremiah 8:9The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what wisdom do they really have?Jeremiah 8:10Therefore I will give their wives to other men and their fields to new owners. For from the least of them to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; from prophet to priest, all practice deceit.Jeremiah 8:11They dress the wound of the daughter of My people with very little care, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace at all.
