And they said, So do, as thou hast said.Genesis 18:6And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead [it], and make cakes upon the hearth.Genesis 18:7And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave [it] unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.Genesis 18:8And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set [it] before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.Genesis 18:9And they said unto him, Where [is] Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.Genesis 18:10And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard [it] in the tent door, which [was] behind him.Genesis 18:11Now Abraham and Sarah [were] old [and] well stricken in age; [and] it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.Genesis 18:12Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?Genesis 18:13And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?Genesis 18:14Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.Genesis 18:15Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.Genesis 21:1And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.Genesis 21:2For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.Genesis 21:3And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.Genesis 21:4And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.Genesis 21:5And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.Genesis 21:6And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, [so that] all that hear will laugh with me.Genesis 21:7And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born [him] a son in his old age.Genesis 21:8And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the [same] day that Isaac was weaned.Genesis 21:12And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.Genesis 22:1And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, [here] I [am].Genesis 22:2And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.Genesis 22:3And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.Genesis 22:4Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.Genesis 22:5And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.Genesis 22:6And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid [it] upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.Genesis 22:7And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here [am] I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where [is] the lamb for a burnt offering?Genesis 22:8And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.Genesis 22:9And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.Genesis 22:10And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.Genesis 22:11And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.Genesis 22:12And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.Genesis 22:13And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.Genesis 22:14And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said [to] this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.Genesis 22:15And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,Genesis 22:16And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son]:Genesis 22:17That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;Genesis 22:18And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.Genesis 22:19So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.Genesis 24:62And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.Genesis 24:63And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels [were] coming.Genesis 25:9And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which [is] before Mamre;Genesis 25:11And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.Genesis 25:19And these [are] the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham begat Isaac:Genesis 25:20And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.Genesis 25:21And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she [was] barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.Genesis 25:22And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why [am] I thus? And she went to inquire of the LORD.Genesis 25:23And the LORD said unto her, Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and [the one] people shall be stronger than [the other] people; and the elder shall serve the younger.Genesis 25:24And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, [there were] twins in her womb.
