Leviticus 8:23Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its blood and put it on Aaron’s right earlobe, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.Leviticus 8:24Moses also presented Aaron’s sons and put some of the blood on their right earlobes, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then he splattered the blood on all sides of the altar.Leviticus 8:25And Moses took the fat—the fat tail, all the fat that was on the entrails, the lobe of the liver, and both kidneys with their fat—as well as the right thigh.Leviticus 8:26And from the basket of unleavened bread that was before the LORD, he took one cake of unleavened bread, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer, and he placed them on the fat portions and on the right thigh.Leviticus 8:27He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the LORD as a wave offering.Leviticus 8:28Then Moses took these from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt offering. This was an ordination offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.Leviticus 8:29He also took the breast—Moses’ portion of the ram of ordination—and waved it before the LORD as a wave offering, as the LORD had commanded him.Leviticus 8:30Next, Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as Aaron’s sons and their garments.Leviticus 8:31And Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there with the bread that is in the basket of ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’Leviticus 8:32Then you must burn up the remainder of the meat and bread.Leviticus 8:33You must not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are complete; for it will take seven days to ordain you.Leviticus 8:34What has been done today has been commanded by the LORD in order to make atonement on your behalf.Leviticus 8:35You must remain at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the LORD’s charge so that you will not die, for this is what I have been commanded.”Leviticus 8:36So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD had commanded through Moses.Leviticus 9:8So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.Leviticus 9:9The sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. And he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.Leviticus 9:10On the altar he burned the fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver from the sin offering, as the LORD had commanded Moses.Leviticus 9:11But he burned up the flesh and the hide outside the camp.Leviticus 9:12Then Aaron slaughtered the burnt offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he splattered it on all sides of the altar.Leviticus 9:13They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.Leviticus 9:14He washed the entrails and the legs and burned them atop the burnt offering on the altar.Leviticus 9:15Aaron then presented the people’s offering. And having made the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering, he stepped down.Leviticus 9:23Moses and Aaron then entered the Tent of Meeting. He said:Numbers 1:2“Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.Numbers 1:3You and Aaron are to number those who are twenty years of age or older by their divisions—everyone who can serve in Israel’s army.Numbers 1:4And one man from each tribe, the head of each family, must be there with you.Numbers 1:5These are the names of the men who are to assist you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;Numbers 1:6from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;Numbers 1:7from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;Numbers 1:8from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;Numbers 1:9from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;Numbers 1:10from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud, and from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;Numbers 1:11from Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;Numbers 1:12from Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;Numbers 1:13from Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran;Numbers 1:14from Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;Numbers 1:15and from Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.”Numbers 1:16These men were appointed from the congregation; they were the leaders of the tribes of their fathers, the heads of the clans of Israel.Numbers 1:17So Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name,Numbers 1:18and on the first day of the second month they assembled the whole congregation and recorded their ancestry by clans and families, counting one by one the names of those twenty years of age or older,Numbers 1:19just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
