Exodus 32:34Now go, lead the people to the place I described. Behold, My angel shall go before you. But on the day I settle accounts, I will punish them for their sin.”Exodus 32:35And the LORD sent a plague on the people because of what they had done with the calf that Aaron had made.Exodus 33:1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of the land of Egypt, and go to the land that I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’Exodus 33:2And I will send an angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.Exodus 33:3Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people; otherwise, I might destroy you on the way.”Exodus 33:4When the people heard this bad news, they went into mourning, and no one put on any of his jewelry.Exodus 33:5For the LORD had said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I should go with you for a single moment, I would destroy you. Now take off your jewelry, and I will decide what to do with you.’”Exodus 33:6So the Israelites stripped themselves of their jewelry from Mount Horeb onward.Exodus 33:7Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it at a distance outside the camp. He called it the Tent of Meeting, and anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp.Exodus 33:8Then, whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would stand at the entrances to their own tents and watch Moses until he entered the tent.Exodus 33:9As Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and remain at the entrance, and the LORD would speak with Moses.Exodus 33:10When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they would stand up and worship, each one at the entrance to his own tent.Exodus 34:9“O Lord,” he said, “if I have indeed found favor in Your sight, my Lord, please go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our iniquity and sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”Exodus 36:1“So Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person are to carry out everything commanded by the LORD, who has given them skill and ability to know how to perform all the work of constructing the sanctuary.”Exodus 36:2Then Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person whom the LORD had gifted—everyone whose heart stirred him to come and do the work.Exodus 36:3They received from Moses all the contributions that the Israelites had brought to carry out the service of constructing the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning,Exodus 36:4so that all the skilled craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left their workExodus 36:5and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD has commanded us to do.”Exodus 36:6After Moses had given an order, they sent a proclamation throughout the camp: “No man or woman should make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing more,Exodus 36:7since what they already had was more than enough to perform all the work.Exodus 36:8All the skilled craftsmen among the workmen made the ten curtains for the tabernacle. They were made of finely spun linen, as well as blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, with cherubim skillfully worked into them.Exodus 36:9Each curtain was twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide; all the curtains were the same size.Exodus 36:10And he joined five of the curtains together, and the other five he joined as well.Exodus 36:11He made loops of blue material on the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and also on the end curtain in the second set.Exodus 36:12He made fifty loops on one curtain and fifty loops on the end curtain of the second set, so that the loops lined up opposite one another.Exodus 36:13He also made fifty gold clasps to join the curtains together, so that the tabernacle was a unit.Exodus 36:14He then made curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle—eleven curtains in all.Exodus 36:15Each of the eleven curtains was the same size—thirty cubits long and four cubits wide.Exodus 36:16He joined five of the curtains into one set and the other six into another.Exodus 36:17He made fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and fifty loops along the edge of the corresponding curtain in the second set.Exodus 36:18He also made fifty bronze clasps to join the tent together as a unit.Exodus 36:19Additionally, he made for the tent a covering of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of fine leather.Exodus 36:20Next, he constructed upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle.Exodus 36:21Each frame was ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.Exodus 36:22Two tenons were connected to each other for each frame. He made both corners in this way.Exodus 36:30So there were eight frames and sixteen silver bases—two under each frame.Exodus 36:31He also made five crossbars of acacia wood for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,Exodus 36:32five for those on the other side, and five for those on the rear side of the tabernacle, to the west.Exodus 36:33He made the central crossbar to run through the center of the frames, from one end to the other.Exodus 36:34And he overlaid the frames with gold and made gold rings to hold the crossbars. He also overlaid the crossbars with gold.Exodus 36:35Next, he made the veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen, with cherubim skillfully worked into it.Exodus 36:36He also made four posts of acacia wood for it and overlaid them with gold, along with gold hooks; and he cast four silver bases for the posts.Exodus 36:37For the entrance to the tent, he made a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen,Exodus 36:38together with five posts and their hooks. He overlaid the tops of the posts and their bands with gold, and their five bases were bronze.Leviticus 8:14Moses then brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.Leviticus 8:15Moses slaughtered the bull, took some of the blood, and applied it with his finger to all four horns of the altar, purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that atonement could be made on it.Leviticus 8:16Moses also took all the fat that was on the entrails, the lobe of the liver, and both kidneys and their fat, and burned it all on the altar.Leviticus 8:17But the bull with its hide, flesh, and dung he burned outside the camp, as the LORD had commanded him.Leviticus 8:18Then Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.Leviticus 8:19Moses slaughtered the ram and splattered the blood on all sides of the altar.Leviticus 8:20He cut the ram into pieces and burned the head, the pieces, and the fat.Leviticus 8:21He washed the entrails and legs with water and burned the entire ram on the altar as a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.Leviticus 8:22After that, Moses presented the other ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
