Acts 15:14Simon has told us how God first visited the Gentiles to take from them a people to be His own.Acts 15:15The words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written:Acts 15:16‘After this I will return and rebuild the fallen tent of David. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it,Acts 15:17so that the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does these thingsActs 15:18that have been known for ages.’Acts 15:19It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not cause trouble for the Gentiles who are turning to God.Acts 15:20Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals, and from blood.Acts 15:21For Moses has been proclaimed in every city from ancient times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.”Acts 15:22Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to select men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the seed to whom the promise referred. It was administered through angels by a mediator.Galatians 4:30But what does the Scripture say? “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”
