Exodus 13:9It shall be a sign for you on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that the Law of the LORD is to be on your lips. A thick cloud was upon the mountain, and a very loud blast of the ram’s horn went out, so that all the people in the camp trembled.Exodus 19:17Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.Exodus 19:18Mount Sinai was completely enveloped in smoke, because the LORD had descended on it in fire. And the smoke rose like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently.Exodus 19:19And as the sound of the ram’s horn grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him in the thunder.Exodus 19:20The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the summit. So Moses went up,Exodus 19:21and the LORD said to him, “Go down and warn the people not to break through to see the LORD, lest many of them perish.Exodus 19:22Even the priests who approach the LORD must consecrate themselves, or the LORD will break out against them.”Exodus 19:23But Moses said to the LORD, “The people cannot come up Mount Sinai, for You solemnly warned us, ‘Put a boundary around the mountain and set it apart as holy.’”Exodus 19:24And the LORD replied, “Go down and bring Aaron with you. But the priests and the people must not break through to come up to the LORD, or He will break out against them.”Exodus 20:1And God spoke all these words:Exodus 20:2“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.Exodus 20:3You shall have no other gods before Me.Exodus 20:4You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the waters beneath.Exodus 20:5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,Exodus 20:6but showing loving devotion to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.Exodus 20:7You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave anyone unpunished who takes His name in vain.Exodus 20:8Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.Exodus 20:9Six days you shall labor and do all your work,Exodus 20:10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, on which you must not do any work—neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant or livestock, nor the foreigner within your gates.Exodus 20:11For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, but on the seventh day He rested. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.Exodus 20:12Honor your father and mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.Exodus 20:13You shall not murder.Exodus 20:14You shall not commit adultery.Exodus 20:15You shall not steal.Exodus 20:16You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.Exodus 20:17You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, or his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”Exodus 24:12Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, so that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”Exodus 24:13So Moses set out with Joshua his attendant and went up on the mountain of God.Exodus 24:14And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we return to you. Aaron and Hur are here with you. Whoever has a dispute can go to them.”Exodus 24:15When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it,Exodus 24:16and the glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered it, and on the seventh day the LORD called to Moses from within the cloud.Exodus 24:17And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on the mountaintop in the eyes of the Israelites.Exodus 24:18Moses entered the cloud as he went up on the mountain, and he remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.Exodus 25:16And place inside the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.Exodus 31:18When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.Exodus 32:15Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.Exodus 32:16The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.Exodus 34:1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the originals, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.Exodus 34:2Be ready in the morning, and come up on Mount Sinai to present yourself before Me on the mountaintop.Exodus 34:3No one may go up with you; in fact, no one may be seen anywhere on the mountain—not even the flocks or herds may graze in front of the mountain.”Exodus 34:4So Moses chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals. He rose early in the morning, and taking the two stone tablets in his hands, he went up Mount Sinai as the LORD had commanded him.Exodus 34:27The LORD also said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”Exodus 34:28So Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.Leviticus 10:11so that you may teach the Israelites all the statutes that the LORD has given them through Moses.”Leviticus 26:46These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws that the LORD established between Himself and the Israelites through Moses on Mount Sinai.Deuteronomy 1:1These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel in the wilderness east of the Jordan—in the Arabah opposite Suph—between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab.Deuteronomy 4:10The day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, the LORD said to me, “Gather the people before Me to hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach them to their children.”Deuteronomy 4:11You came near and stood at the base of the mountain, a mountain blazing with fire to the heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.Deuteronomy 4:12And the LORD spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of the words but saw no form; there was only a voice.Deuteronomy 4:13He declared to you His covenant, which He commanded you to follow—the Ten Commandments that He wrote on two tablets of stone.Deuteronomy 4:36He let you hear His voice from heaven to discipline you, and on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the fire.Deuteronomy 4:44This is the law that Moses set before the Israelites.Deuteronomy 4:45These are the testimonies, statutes, and ordinances that Moses proclaimed to them after they had come out of Egypt,Deuteronomy 4:46while they were in the valley across the Jordan facing Beth-peor in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon and was defeated by Moses and the Israelites after they had come out of Egypt.Deuteronomy 5:1Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: Hear, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances that I declare in your hearing this day. Learn them and observe them carefully.Deuteronomy 5:2The LORD our God made a covenant with us at Horeb.Deuteronomy 5:3He did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with all of us who are alive here today.Deuteronomy 5:4The LORD spoke with you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.
