Zechariah 7:6And when you were eating and drinking, were you not doing so simply for yourselves?Zechariah 10:3“My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders. For the LORD of Hosts attends to His flock, the house of Judah; He will make them like His royal steed in battle.Zechariah 11:4This is what the LORD my God says: “Pasture the flock marked for slaughter,Zechariah 11:5whose buyers slaughter them without remorse. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the LORD, for I am rich!’ Even their own shepherds have no compassion on them.Zechariah 11:16For behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will neither care for the lost, nor seek the young, nor heal the broken, nor sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the choice sheep and tear off their hooves.Zechariah 11:17Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May a sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered and his right eye utterly blinded!”Zechariah 13:2And on that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will erase the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. And when you present the lame and sick ones, is it not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you or show you favor?” asks the LORD of Hosts.Malachi 1:9“But ask now for God’s favor. Will He be gracious? Since this has come from your hands, will He show you favor?” asks the LORD of Hosts.Malachi 1:10“Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would no longer kindle useless fires on My altar! I take no pleasure in you,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and I will accept no offering from your hands.Malachi 2:1“And now this decree is for you, O priests:Malachi 2:2If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to honor My name,” says the LORD of Hosts, “I will send a curse among you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already begun to curse them, because you are not taking it to heart.Malachi 2:3Behold, I will rebuke your descendants, and I will spread dung on your faces, the waste from your feasts, and you will be carried off with it.Malachi 2:6True instruction was in his mouth, and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity.Malachi 2:7For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, because he is the messenger of the LORD of Hosts.Malachi 2:8But you have departed from the way, and your instruction has caused many to stumble. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.Matthew 4:19“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”Matthew 4:20And at once they left their nets and followed Him.Matthew 4:21Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus called them,Matthew 4:22and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him.Matthew 5:19So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 7:6Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. Freely you have received; freely give.Matthew 10:9Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts.Matthew 10:10Take no bag for the road, or second tunic, or sandals, or staff; for the worker is worthy of his provisions.Matthew 10:11Whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy there and stay at his house until you move on.Matthew 10:12As you enter the home, greet its occupants.Matthew 10:13If the home is worthy, let your peace rest on it, but if it is not, let your peace return to you.Matthew 10:14And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.Matthew 10:15Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.Matthew 10:16Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.Matthew 10:17But beware of men, for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues.
