Matthew 10:18On My account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.Matthew 10:19But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.Matthew 13:6But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.Matthew 13:7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings.Matthew 13:8Still other seed fell on good soil and produced a crop—a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.Matthew 13:51Have you understood all these things?” “Yes,” they answered.Matthew 13:52Then He told them, “For this reason, every scribe who has been discipled in the kingdom of heaven is like a homeowner who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”Matthew 13:57And they took offense at Him. Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?Matthew 16:10Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?Matthew 16:11How do you not understand that I was not telling you about bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”Matthew 16:12Then they understood that He was not telling them to beware of the leaven used in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.Matthew 16:19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”Matthew 18:5And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me.Matthew 18:6But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.Matthew 18:18Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.Matthew 19:13Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.Matthew 20:20Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and knelt down to make a request of Him.Matthew 20:21“What do you want?” He inquired. She answered, “Declare that in Your kingdom one of these two sons of mine may sit at Your right hand, and the other at Your left.”Matthew 20:22“You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” the brothers answered.Matthew 20:23“You will indeed drink My cup,” Jesus said. “But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom My Father has prepared them.”Matthew 20:24When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.Matthew 20:25But Jesus called them aside and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.Matthew 20:26It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,Matthew 20:27and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave—Matthew 20:28just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
