Matthew 23:3So practice and observe everything they tell you. It would be better for him if he had not been born.”Matthew 26:25Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”Matthew 26:47While Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.Matthew 26:48Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him.”Matthew 26:49Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.Matthew 26:50“Friend,” Jesus replied, “do what you came for.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus, and arrested Him.Matthew 26:57Those who had arrested Jesus led Him away to the house of Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and elders had gathered.Matthew 26:63But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to Him, “I charge You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God.”Matthew 26:64“You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”Matthew 26:65At this, the high priest tore his clothes and declared, “He has blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy.Matthew 27:3When Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was filled with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.Matthew 27:4“I have sinned by betraying innocent blood,” he said. “What is that to us?” they replied. “You bear the responsibility.”Matthew 27:5So Judas threw the silver into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.Matthew 27:6The chief priests picked up the pieces of silver and said, “It is unlawful to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.”Matthew 27:7After conferring together, they used the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners.Matthew 28:19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,Matthew 28:20and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. A farmer went out to sow his seed.Mark 4:4And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.Mark 4:5Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.Mark 4:6But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.Mark 4:7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings, and they yielded no crop.Mark 4:8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop—one bearing thirtyfold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold.”Mark 4:9Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”Mark 4:10As soon as Jesus was alone with the Twelve and those around Him, they asked Him about the parable.Mark 4:11He replied, “The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is expressed in parables,Mark 4:12so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.’”Mark 4:13Then Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables?Mark 4:14The farmer sows the word.
