John 2:23While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His name.John 3:2He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs You are doing if God were not with him.”John 4:46So once again He came to Cana in Galilee, where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.John 4:47When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.John 4:48Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”John 4:49“Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.”John 4:50“Go,” said Jesus. “Your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed.John 4:51And while he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was alive.John 4:52So he inquired as to the hour when his son had recovered, and they told him, “The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour.”John 4:53Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed.John 4:54This was now the second sign that Jesus performed after coming from Judea into Galilee.John 5:1Some time later there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.John 5:2Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool with five covered colonnades, which in Hebrew is called Bethesda.John 5:3On these walkways lay a great number of the sick, the blind, the lame, and the paralyzed.John 5:4John 5:5One man there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.John 5:6When Jesus saw him lying there and realized that he had spent a long time in this condition, He asked him, “Do you want to get well?”John 5:7“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am on my way, someone else goes in before me.”John 5:8Then Jesus told him, “Get up, pick up your mat, and walk.”John 5:9Immediately the man was made well, and he picked up his mat and began to walk. Now this happened on the Sabbath day,John 5:10so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, “This is the Sabbath! It is unlawful for you to carry your mat.”John 5:11But he answered, “The man who made me well told me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’”John 5:12“Who is this man who told you to pick it up and walk?” they asked.John 5:13But the man who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away while the crowd was there.John 5:14Afterward, Jesus found the man at the temple and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.”John 5:15And the man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.John 5:16Now because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews began to persecute Him.John 5:36But I have testimony more substantial than that of John. For the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish—the very works I am doing—testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.John 6:16When evening came, His disciples went down to the sea,John 6:17got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was already dark, and Jesus had not yet gone out to them.John 6:18A strong wind was blowing, and the sea grew agitated.John 6:19When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the sea—and they were terrified.John 6:20But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.”John 6:21Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and at once the boat reached the shore where they were heading.John 7:31Many in the crowd, however, believed in Him and said, “When the Christ comes, will He perform more signs than this man?”John 9:3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.John 11:1At this time a man named Lazarus was sick. No, it is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”John 11:5Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.John 11:6So on hearing that Lazarus was sick, He stayed where He was for two days,John 11:7and then He said to the disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”John 11:8“Rabbi,” they replied, “the Jews just tried to stone You, and You are going back there?”John 11:9Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? If anyone walks in the daytime, he will not stumble, because he sees by the light of this world.John 11:10But if anyone walks at night, he will stumble, because he has no light.”John 11:11After He had said this, He told them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up.”John 11:12His disciples replied, “Lord, if he is sleeping, he will get better.”John 11:13They thought that Jesus was talking about actual sleep, but He was speaking about the death of Lazarus.John 11:14So Jesus told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead,John 11:15and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”John 11:16Then Thomas called Didymus said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, so that we may die with Him.”John 11:17When Jesus arrived, He found that Lazarus had already spent four days in the tomb.John 11:18Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, a little less than two miles away,John 11:19and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them in the loss of their brother.John 11:20So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet Him, but Mary stayed at home.John 11:21Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.John 11:22But even now I know that God will give You whatever You ask of Him.”John 11:23“Your brother will rise again,” Jesus told her.John 11:24Martha replied, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
