1 Kings 10:1When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Yahweh, she came to prove him with hard questions.1 Kings 10:2She came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.1 Kings 10:3Solomon told her all her questions: there was not anything hidden from the king which he didn’t tell her.1 Kings 10:4When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,1 Kings 10:5and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, and his cup bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Yahweh; there was no more spirit in her.1 Kings 10:6She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.1 Kings 10:7However I didn’t believe the words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it. in the land of Egypt shall they fall; they shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine; they shall die, from the least even to the greatest, by the sword and by the famine; and they shall be an object of horror, an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.Jeremiah 44:13For I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence;Jeremiah 44:14so that none of the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there, shall escape or be left, to return into the land of Judah, to which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return save such as shall escape.Jeremiah 44:15Then all the men who knew that their wives burned incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assembly, even all the people who lived in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,Jeremiah 44:16As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of Yahweh, we will not listen to you.Jeremiah 44:17But we will certainly perform every word that is gone forth out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem;
