They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.Luke 10:31Now by chance a priest was going down the same road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.Luke 10:32So too, when a Levite came to that spot and saw him, he passed by on the other side.Luke 10:33But a Samaritan on a journey came upon him, and when he saw him, he had compassion.Luke 10:34He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.Luke 10:35The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Take care of him,’ he said, ‘and on my return I will repay you for any additional expense.’Luke 10:36Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”Luke 10:37“The one who showed him mercy,” replied the expert in the law. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’Luke 15:20So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.Luke 15:21The son declared, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’Luke 15:22But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.Luke 15:23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let us feast and celebrate.Luke 15:24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again! He was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.Luke 15:25Meanwhile the older son was in the field, and as he approached the house, he heard music and dancing.Luke 15:26So he called one of the servants and asked what was going on.Luke 15:27‘Your brother has returned,’ he said, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has him back safe and sound.’Luke 15:28The older son became angry and refused to go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.Luke 15:29But he answered his father, ‘Look, all these years I have served you and never disobeyed a commandment of yours. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.Luke 15:30But when this son of yours returns from squandering your wealth with prostitutes, you kill the fattened calf for him!’Luke 15:31‘Son, you are always with me,’ the father said, ‘and all that is mine is yours.Luke 15:32But it was fitting to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”Luke 22:47While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”Luke 22:54Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.Luke 22:55When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.Luke 22:56A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.Luke 22:57But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.Luke 22:58A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”Luke 22:59About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”Luke 22:60“Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.Luke 22:61And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”Luke 22:62And he went outside and wept bitterly.Luke 24:1On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.Luke 24:2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,Luke 24:3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.Luke 24:4While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.Luke 24:5As the women bowed their faces to the ground in terror, the two men asked them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?
