MINISTRY TRAINING · MODULE 9 · UNIT 4 OF 4

Care Plans and Ethical Follow-Up

Study passage: Galatians 6:2. Read the whole surrounding chapter before relying on this unit.

Teaching and interpretation

Help should be offered with permission and respect for autonomy. A meal, ride, visit or connection to a trusted service may be more useful than a long lesson. Agree on a next contact rather than promising unlimited personal availability. Keep the minimum records needed for coordination, protect them, and ensure vulnerable people are not exploited or approached for money.

Pastoral case to discuss

A family welcomes visits but not questions about their private finances. How would you respect their boundary while still offering practical assistance?

Describe the relevant facts and what you would still need to know. Do not present assumptions as the person's motives, diagnose a disorder or make unverified claims about Scripture.

Required practical exercise

Construct a short fictional case plan with consent, privacy, follow-up date, professional referrals and boundaries.

Support your answers with passages in context and distinguish biblical teaching, historical interpretation, modern professional standards and personal judgment. Keep real people's details confidential.
