Why Are There So Many Bible Translations?

SHORT ANSWER

Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek do not map word-for-word into modern English. Translation teams therefore make different decisions about wording, style, readability, and textual evidence. More than one responsible translation can faithfully communicate the source text.

CONTEXT MATTERS

Do not stop at the quotation.

Compare translations when wording matters, then consult context and original-language tools rather than treating every English difference as evidence of corruption.

Do not take our word for it.

Open the passages. Read the surrounding chapters. Compare translations. Search related passages. If our summary does not survive that process, tell us. Authority should be earned through transparent work, not demanded through branding.
