← A Dictionary of Christ and the Gospels — Volume 1

The subject is inexhaustible. It has not been exhausted in this work. Perhaps the most that has been done is to show how great Christ is.

Many scholars have rendered valuable assistance. In addition to the services of Dr. Selbie and Dr. Lambert, the Editor desires especially to acknowledge those of Professor Howard Osgood of Eochester Theological Seminary, New York, who examined the Gospels minutely to see that no topic had been omitted, and added some useful titles to the list.

The Dictionary will be completed in two volumes, of which this is the first.
