Tlie first of these weekly sections is read on the first Sabbath after the Feast of Tabernacles, ■which is in the month of Tisri, and begins the civil year, and the last is read on the concluding day of this festival, Tisri 23, which is called The Rejoidnfj of the Lain (nnin nmaUJ), a day of rejoicing, because on it the law is read througli.
