MODULE 11 · Leadership and public trust
Church Governance, Finance and Stewardship
Pastors and leaders must understand budgets, conflicts of interest, financial reporting, donated funds and accountability to members and legal authorities. This module refuses the false choice between spiritual trust and sensible controls. It teaches transparent budgeting, dual authorization, written policies and fair handling of restricted gifts, while recognizing that tax and nonprofit law require qualified advice.
Learning outcomes
- Describe basic internal controls for ministry money
- Recognize conflicts of interest and financial coercion
- Communicate charitable accountability without invented guarantees

Refer detailed tax and complianc…
