MODULE 12 · Ministry skills
Worship, Prayer, Baptism and Communion
Worship traditions differ in liturgy, music, leadership, sacraments and the way congregations respond to Scripture. A minister needs a biblical foundation and the ability to describe disagreements accurately. Practical responsibilities include accessibility, consent, copyright clearance for music and media, and safeguarding of vulnerable congregants.
Learning outcomes
- Compare major Christian practices fairly
- Plan accessible, non-coercive worship
- Recognize copyright and permission duties for congregational media

UNIT 3 · SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 11:17-34
Paul's rebuke of divisions around a shared meal invites attention to community conduct rather than merely ritual precision. Communion theology differs among traditions. A leader should explain the practice carefully, respect inclusion policies, and never use an emotionally sensitive service as a place for targeted humiliation or fundraisi…

Congregational worship often includes text, music, images, recordings and livestreams with separate copyrights. A historic hymn's words may be public domain while a recent arrangement or sound recording is not. Permission requirements vary by medium and jurisdiction. Teach students to keep a rights ledger and choose freely licensed or pub…
